What I like about Bella Physical Therapy is that it is more of a community private practice. It is more personal because we schedule one hour per visit. In the process, we get to know the patient and have more time for problem solving, so we can come up with and execute a personalized plan for each patient.

Dr. Andrea Zuluaga earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Dominican College in 2020, where she earned an award for her doctoral research that focused on balance and fall risk in older adults. Prior to entering PT school, Andrea graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Psychology from Dominican College in 2017. She is no stranger to movement as Andrea participated in Dominican College’s Division II Soccer and Track and Field teams. As a student-athlete, Andrea was awarded academic accolades as she excelled on and off the field every semester of her undergraduate career. Throughout physical therapy school, Andrea volunteered in a pro-bono clinic treating faculty, staff, and students of the college. Andrea’s interest in high level athletics and movement led her to want to pursue a career as an orthopedic and pediatric physical therapist. As a new graduate, Andrea was very excited to begin her career and was introduced to Pelvic Health which quickly became her new drive.
Since graduation, Andrea’s passion for pelvic health has led her to enhance her skill and knowledge through the Herman and Wallace Teaching Institute where she obtained her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certificate (PRPC) in 2022. Andrea’s other passion is educating and allowing other physical therapists to refine their skills and better the profession. Recently, Andrea has become a Lead/ Senior Teaching assistant through Herman and Wallace, a Clinical instructor for current Doctor of Physical Therapy students in their final clinical affiliation, and a Teaching assistant for open labs at Kean University. Andrea is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Women’s Health Section of the APTA. In the near future, Andrea would like to continue specializing in Pelvic and Obstetric Physical therapy. Long term, Andrea would like to also continue working on her orthopedic and functional movement assessment and treatment.
In her free time, Andrea enjoys playing soccer and running. When Andrea is not studying, kicking a soccer ball, or running around she takes joy in traveling and exploring new cultures. Andrea speaks English and Spanish.
